04/30/2024: In his latest Sixth District Perspectives with Congressman Ben Cline newsletter,
Ben writes, "It was a productive week traveling around the Valley and hearing from constituents, businesses, and organizations about the issues most important to them and their families. Unfortunately, we continue to see more problems facing our nation, including the continued costs of Biden's border crisis and the antisemitic protests on college campuses. The House is working to address these and other issues through the annual appropriations process. On a brighter note, my team launched a partnership with James Madison University to participate in the Library of Congress' Veterans History Project. I also had the opportunity to meet with folks about the different ways we can
support small businesses in the Sixth District. As we head into the next four weeks of session, I will continue to fight to make Washington work for families in Virginia's Sixth District, and across America.
Launching a Partnership with JMU for the Veterans History Project
Last week, I was excited to announce that my office will be teaming with James Madison University to participate in the Library of Congress’ Veterans History Project. The Veterans History Project collects, preserves, and makes accessible the firsthand accounts of American wartime veterans so that future generations may learn about veterans’ experiences in their own words to better understand the realities of war. It’s great to have institutions like JMU in Virginia’s
Sixth District who consistently go beyond what is required of them to serve both their veteran and military connected students.
American war veterans who reside in Virginia’s Sixth Congressional District are encouraged to register to be interviewed for the Veterans History Project. After an interview is completed, it is archived with the Library of Congress and made available for all citizens to watch and learn about the service and sacrifices of these courageous men and women.
With over 18,000 veterans in Virginia's Sixth District, I'm proud to support a project that recognizes their invaluable contribution and keeps their legacy alive for future generations. For veterans interested in sharing their own story or know someone who would be interested, please visit here to get more information on how to register."

Required Reading: "A Republic if You Can Keep It"
... by James R. Poplar III
Philadelphia, 1787 a woman approached Benjamin Franklin and asked him, “well, Doctor, what do we have, a Republic or a Monarchy?” Franklin replied sagely, “a Republic if you can keep it.”
Fast forward to the height of the Cold War, political theorist and former FBI employee Cleon Skousen authored “The Naked Communist” which outlined a concerted effort to overcome and control all of the world's governments through the implementation of social progressivism. Although I generally do not subscribe to conspiracy theories, let’s take a look at what the author predicted sixty- five years ago, I think you will be amazed. Read on...
So, exactly what does it mean to be a Republican? What are the Republican party’s core values and beliefs? What do Republicans vote “for” (and not simply “against”) when they cast a ballot, and why should you consider voting Republican in the next election?
Here are six great reasons to vote Republican as outlined in the following article: Why Vote Republican? Six Great Reasons Why You Should Vote Republican in the Next Election! … by Ros Poplar of the Shenandoah County Republican Committee (SCRC) Visit shenandoahrepublican.com/why-vote-republican.html
